Fee Schedule
We base our fees on the Medicare-recommended hourly rate for speech therapy - $186.75/hr.
We feel this rate reflects the significant experience, level of expertise and individual commitment that we offer, and that we know delivers superior results. We angst about fees constantly - trying to walk the fine line between the accessibility of our service for families and making sure we are able to take home an income for ourselves, after covering all our costs. The harsh reality is that working with children 1:1 is an expensive undertaking and engaging a private specialist to assess and treat a child is not for everyone. This session is for the adults only. We like to meet with parents first, without your child. This lets you get to know us and gives us time to discuss your child's history, your concerns and your goals. Assessment - language/literacy/social communication
This total includes the cost of the asessment consultation as well as the time spent analysing results and compiling a comprehensive report. Please note that we rarely offer assessment consultations without insisting on providing a report, for reasons that we are happy to discuss with you Additional assessment sessions (if required) |

We understand that it may be necessary at times to cancel or postpone an appointment due to unavoidable circumstances. In this event, it is important that you let us know so we can use the missed appointment time most effectively. Sufficient notice of your inability to attend a session enables your speech pathologist to use this time to do necessary paperwork, phone calls or other liaison that would benefit your child. Furthermore, we can offer cancelled appointments to other families on our waiting list to enable them to access therapy services. We have a sizeable waiting list for before- and after-school appointment times in particular.
Like most other health practices, we charge a cancellation fee for missed appointments where you provide less than 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations are billed at the following rates:
